On August 18 and 19, Brigitte Vincent, IT analyst, IT Solutions Delivery – Savings Sales, took part in the 20COEUR CHALLENGE in support of the IUCPQ Foundation, affiliated with the Quebec University Institute of Cardiology and Pulmonology.
This sporting event consists in walking the magnificent route that stretches from the Plains of Abraham to Lake Saint-Charles and back again over two consecutive days, taking the Cap-Blanc stairs, the Coastal Corridor cycle route and the Saint-Charles River Linear park. This 20-hour trek is designed to raise people’s awareness of the benefits of physical activity on heart health, and to raise funds for the IUCPQ Foundation.
Here are a few comments from Brigitte: “It still hasn’t sunk in yet: We’ve all covered eighty kilometres in two days! I feel a great sense of pride in having accomplished this challenge. Along the way, I got to know the participants: we bonded, supported each other, a sense of solidarity developed despite our differences. We were a real team!”
As a sign of support for Brigitte’s commitment, iA Financial Group made a donation to the Foundation under its employee community engagement donation policy.
Congratulations, Brigitte!
