Grand défi Pierre Lavoie | On the move to inspire youth

June 18, 2025

With our encouragement, some 300 students from grades one to six took part in a health walk as part of their participation in GDPL activities, which aim to raise awareness among young people of the importance of healthy lifestyle habits.

This is our third participation in the GDPL, which takes place this year from June 12 to 15 in Quebec City. The awe-inspiring 1,000 km challenge, during which each person pedals an average of 400 km over three days and two nights, mobilizes around 1,200 cyclists every year.

Saddled for generosity

Our team’s objective is to live an extraordinary personal experience, to embody the values advocated by iA and to contribute to projects that support youth wellbeing.

We’re also putting our shoulder to the wheel by raising funds, a portion of which will be donated to the École des Petits-Explorateurs to finance projects aimed at creating healthy lifestyle habits. Last year, the GDPL awarded more than $2.7 million.

Our presence at the GDPL is in line with our ambition to be present and active in the lives of Canadians in support of their financial, physical and mental wellbeing.

Is youth wellbeing something you care about too?

You can contribute to the cause by visiting our team page. Every donation has a positive impact.

On behalf of our young people, thank you in advance to those who give us their support. First and foremost, supporting our team means supporting young people and contributing to the cause of total wellbeing. Click here if you'd like to make a donation.

Would you like to get involved in a cause too?

Get inspired by visiting the 211 website: Help Starts Here - 211.ca. There you’ll find organizations that align with your interests that you can offer to volunteer for. Then, you can request a donation on the iA Community Involvement website at https://communityinvolvement.ia.ca/.

It’s the best of both worlds: You support a charity with your time and expertise and iA gives them a monetary boost in your name!
