Several of our employees took part in Leucan’s Shaved Head Challenge in Quebec City on May 26
Joëlle Meilleur, Accounting, Group Insurance, even drove from Montreal to the Centre Vidéotron in Quebec City, where the event was being held. Thanks to the generosity of her colleagues and loved ones, she was able to donate just shy of $2,400 to Leucan. As she said in her thank-you message to her donors:
“Thank you for your most generous donation. You receive so many requests for so many causes, but year after year, you answer “Yes!”, whether through an online gift, a cash donation or buying little treats. I’m so proud that together we were able to donate $2,366. THANK YOU very much!”
Francis Jacob-Roy, Investment Risk Monitoring, in Quebec City, raised $2,060 for the cause. Considering that the average person has 100,000 to 150,000 hairs on their head, that means Francis raised about 2 cents per hair!
He also had the support of a young fan: his son Nathan.
Finally, Yvan Giguère, Administration, Investments, also put a price on his head. He’s actually a regular at the event. “I do it every year, since it’s not a big challenge for me to get the corporate donation, and it’s also a really great cause!”
Congratulations to everyone who took part, for their generous commitment!
