Education is very important to us, which is why we’re happy to support the Le Diplôme avant la Médaille (DAM) program (The Diploma before the Medal). DAM is an organization that uses sports as a way to encourage high school students who are at risk of dropping out to persevere and stay in school.
DAM is currently looking for volunteer tutors who care about the wellbeing of secondary students in the Quebec City region. Over 300 volunteers are needed to support those already in place.
Contribute to a student athlete’s future
You, too, can contribute to a secondary student’s future! You will help the student with certain subjects during weekly one-hour sessions, from October to April, at minimum. You will choose the type of tutoring, time slots and subjects you are able to help with. You’ll also have access to free training and ongoing support from the DAM team. Tutoring can be done in class, online or a mix of the two.
A clear impact
The impact this tutoring program has on the student athletes is considerable. Since 2012, 96% of students supported by DAM have gotten or are still working toward their secondary diploma.
We’re counting on you to help keep this success going!
