Our co-worker, Ken Godfray, Regional VP, Sales (British Columbia), is very involved with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC). Last year, he set up a friendly competition for insurance companies: The Insurance Cup presented by iA Financial Group. This challenge among competitors was a veritable success.
Among the insurance companies that took part in the challenge, small Vancouver firm Prometheus Private Advisory Group stood out and won the challenge, raising $53,000 for the LLSC! The members of Prometheus were quite inspired by this competition. This was the first time the firm took part and the results were amazing. The other participants also raised significant amounts. This is admirable proof that competitors can rally together for a good cause!
The good news in all this is that the LLSC will resume the competition next year. A short promotional video filmed in the summer of 2020, in which Ken identifies good reasons for taking part in this fundraiser, promotes the new edition, which will take place this spring. To date, five insurance companies have expressed their interest in taking part in the 2021 edition. What do want to bet that with Ken’s contagious involvement, other companies will step up to help those with blood cancer?
Way to go, Ken, and long live the Insurance Cup!
