Mario Gingras puts the fun in fundraising at Lac Memphrémagog

On September 14, Mario Gingras, Senior IT Analyst, ran in the Lake Memphrémagog Relay with 19 members of his running club to benefit the Christian Vachon Foundation.

This foundation supports the development and educational success of young people from vulnerable backgrounds by providing them with school supplies, clothing, meals, and sports and cultural activities. Over 2,500 children are sponsored across more than 250 schools.

Mario tells us why he gets excited about this challenge:

"This event consists of a 110 km run in teams of 4 or 5 runners. The relay is divided into 12 stages ranging from 3.5 to 11 kilometres in the beautiful Eastern Townships region.

This is the second year in a row that I have participated in this fundraising event. I get to do one of my favourite activities and give back to the community for a cause that is close to my heart.”

To follow Mario's generous example, iA Financial Group has made a donation to the Foundation as part of its giving policy for employees involved in their community.
