Our colleague in Quebec City, Frédéric Alain will once again participate in the Leucan Ski Challenge in support of children fighting cancer and their families. The event will take place on March 26, at Station touristique Stoneham.
This year, his daughter, Laurence Alain, is the event spokesperson. Coming off a record campaign last year, where his team raised $18,710, LES LAULAU-LYMPIQUES are taking part once again to support the cause.
Since her cancer diagnosis, Laurence has been fighting every day. She is just one example of strength and courage. Her grandfather, Richard, has an apt interpretation of the team name:
“The Laulau-lympiques, is a team name that echoes perseverance, hard work, adversity and team spirit and all the support needed to reach the top of the podium and beat cancer.”
Touched by Laurence’s and her family’s involvement, iA Financial Group supported Frédéric by making a donation under its donation policy for employees who get involved in their community.
Encourage the participants or participate yourself in your region’s Ski Challenge and support Leucan. This organization is an invaluable resource for children fighting cancer and their families.
Happy Ski Challenge to all!
