Renée Laflamme is honorary chair of the Cancerto Québec benefit, a show performed the Septième Art (Seventh Art) orchestra (OSA), which is intended to raise money for the Quebec Cancer Foundation.
Touched by Renée’s involvement, iA Financial Group supported her by making a donation under its donation policy for employees who get involved in their community.
Our colleague shares a few words about what motivated her to get involved with this cause:
“I get involved because people living with cancer need care but they also need support in a more global sense. And, because those who support them also need support.
The housing service, in particular, touched me. Regardless of where in Quebec they’re from, people living with cancer can live in a warm, positive, and reassuring environment while they receive treatment. Access to care also means allowing those who live outside of major centres to receive their care without having to worry about housing or transportation. This means a lot less worry for patients and their loved ones.”
The Cancerto benefits have been organized in several cities around Quebec for the last ten years. The Quebec City event will take place on November 12, 2021.
Thank you and congratulations Renée!
