For over five years now, Julie Martel, Vice-President, Corporate Development, has been involved with the organizing committee for the CIBC Run for the Cure in Quebec City.
We invite you to join Julie, who is now supported by Annie Lelievre and Valérie Lelievre, acting as a member of the organizing committee and captain of the iA Financial Group Quebec City team respectively, to run or walk for 1 or 5 km on Sunday, October 6 at the Sainte-Foy outdoor recreational area. You and your coworkers can join in and raise funds to support breast cancer research. Family and friends are welcome.
iA Financial Group will support each member of the team by making a donation under its donation policy for employees who get involved in their community. If you sign up for the run as a participant, don’t forget to fill out the iA donation request form. The company will recognize your community involvement by contributing to your fundraising.
Want to run or contribute?
Visit the iA Financial Group team page for this event and don’t hesitate to contact Julie, Annie or Valérie if you have any questions about the event.
Lastly, we invite you to read Julie’s touching invitation below.
On Sunday, October 6, I’ll be participating in the Run for the Cure.
I’m asking for your support once again this year for this cause that’s particularly dear to my heart. Over the years, my motivations for participating have evolved and have unfortunately become more and more concrete. It is estimated that 1 in 8 Canadian women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime, and that 1 in 36 will die from it. For all the women in my life, and all the women in your life, I’ll be participating in the Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6.
This year, I’m renewing my commitment to the cause and I’m supporting my daughter Anne-Frédérique as co-director of the 2024 Quebec City Run for the Cure organizing committee. Anne-Frédérique, my coworkers on the organizing committee, the bearers of hope and all the participants who take part in the race year after year inspire me to stay involved. Organizing an event like this takes energy and time, and despite our busy lives, we’re committed to the success of this event, organized entirely by volunteers, so we roll up our sleeves and work hard to make each edition another success.
I’m proud and grateful to be able to count on the support of my coworkers, Annie and Valérie, who are also committed to the cause, and on the presence of my coworkers who will be joining the iA Financial Group team again this year. I remind you that the iA Financial Group team won the Quebec City Entrepreneurial Spirit Award for the 2022 and 2023 editions of the Run, thanks to their impressive fundraising results. I’m also proud and grateful to be able to count on the support of our employer, iA Financial Group, year after year.
Join us in making a commitment to the cause. Signing up for the Run, making a donation or showing your support in any other way will make all the difference.
Thank you for your support. Together, let us continue our efforts for the cause.
Julie, together for the cause, together for life.
