Pierre Vincent, Senior Vice-President, Distribution, Individual Insurance, Savings and Retirement, is the ambassador for the Logis Rose-Virginie foundation’s fundraising campaign.
Logis Rose-Virginie is a women’s centre that provides safe, subsidized housing and professional support for women in need. The organization is also involved in reducing homelessness in young women ages 18 to 24, with a focus on sustainable social reintegration.
Pierre shares what inspired him to become an ambassador:
“In 2019, a colleague approached me to become an ambassador for the Logis Rose-Virginie foundation’s financial campaign. I accepted and had the chance to visit the organization, where I learned how their work changes the lives of so many women. I’ve listened to a number of deeply touching accounts from women who found a safe place, thanks to the foundation.
I’ve personally had the good fortune to grow up in a family that has always supported and encouraged me. I have a wonderful spouse and children. Life has always provided me with amazing surprises. I consider myself very lucky. Before getting to know this organization, I was unaware of the hardships that many women have to face. In Montreal, unhoused women are often much less visible than unhoused men, but their situation is no less real and challenging.
I’ve been dedicating my time to the financial campaign for the Logis Rose-Virginie women’s centre since 2019 because I’ve seen how the funds we collect can give these women, who didn’t have the same opportunities as me and my circle, their confidence, happiness and lives back. Since the need is always growing, it’s important I continue to help out year after year.”
Moved by Pierre’s involvement, iA Financial Group made a donation to the foundation under its donation policy for employees who get involved in their community.
Kudos on your involvement, Pierre!
